February 13th

Spent the day at the Dr's and the hospital today. Chris was doing some drilling, and welding over the weekend and somehow got some concrete or metal in his eye. He had to get it taken out today at the hospital as it was embedded in his eye. It was kinda gross. A big thank you to Meg who brought afternoon tea and dinner round for us and a massive thank you to Mum who came and cooked the dinner, looked after the kids, bathed them and put them to bed, as I had to work. It was very much appreciated.

February 12th

My blog is now up to date!!! You may need to go back a few pages to see all the photos!
In between baking 100's of biscuits for the school week, we had a huge downpour! The kids all went out and wanted to play in it. Jackson has the sniffles so he kept dry and used a cup to collect some rain instead!!

February 11th

I went home from work last night with a migraine and slept for 14 hours, then even more during the day. I did surface to take this photo. Meg gave me a bike rack that will fit 4 bikes on it rather then just 3, and Chris was just testing to make sure it would work, because he will need to drill a hole in the tow bar for it to be able to fit to the Jeep. It is a much better one then I have been using, the old one scratches the bike if I don't wrap it with a teatowel! If we put Jackson's bike in the boot all 5 of us can go for a ride. Or we now have 2 tag-a-longs, so we can all go on long rides too! We are set!

February 10th

I went to see The Vow today with Nataly and Jenni (Jackson's friend Bradley's mum) It was a really soppy movie. The best bit is we did it while the kids were at school! I had never thought about being able to do things like that occasionally...How exciting!

February 9th

Yes. All my kids have bigger then normal feet for their age. But I never expected my 10 year old (nearly 11)daughter being fitted for a ladies size ELEVEN shoe!!! I am only a 9, so I thought she may have stopped there or a 10! But 11 hooley dooley!

February 8th

I have been having lots of meeting with the big boss at work since I have been back after holidays. Things will be changing a bit at work. With it comes much more responsibility, and a pay rise. I have been documenting all the things team members are doing wrong so that I can hit them with evidence when they tell me they would never do that. As an aside note, Sam had to change class today after having a big panic attack, he knew nobody in his new class and it turned out the school had mucked up the socio-gram for him. It was a big relief that all was taken care of swiftly and I have a happy boy again

February 7th

All 3 kids are in uniform and at the same school for the first time today. Sam is going into Year 2 and Lucy is going into Year 6. This is the only year they will all be at the same school!

February 6th

My gorgeous baby boy started Kindy today. I am so proud of him, but I am missing him. It feels like an arm has been chopped off. I am sure he is going to love his school and learning as much as his big brother and sister do.

February 5th

During the transition service at church today all the new Kindy kids were presented with a lunchbox. Jackson was very proud that he was able to go up on his own and even said "Thank you" I wasn't forgotten. I got a tea bag, a chocolate, a pack of tissues for the big day tomorrow, and a safety pin- to hold it all together.

February 4th

Lucy got a long waited for haircut today. She is looking so grown up.

February 3rd

The boys got new shoes today. On the way out of the mall it was pouring with rain, so what do all good boys do? Yup drink it

February 2nd

Meg treated the kids to an end of school holidays treat today. Kiera was lucky she was spending the day with us and got to come along.

February 1st

Chris' uncle Jake and auntie Julie came to Canberra for 2 nights. The kids and Chris went round for dinner and I raced over during my dinner break so I would have a chance to see them.

January 31st

We went to a new playground just behind us today. I jogged round it while the boys played. If you look in the background of the photo, the house with the red roof is ours.

January 30th

Happy birthday Nanny! Taking out Lucy's Fiji braids while watching the old version of Charlie and the Chocolate factory

January 29th

I love that the kids can swim without Chris and I holding onto them now. We can stay out if we like and just watch them :-) Swimming lessons are very worth it! Sam can smile even under water.

January 28th

I cleaned Sam's room from top to bottom today. It looks much nicer and he is able to play a bit easier in here now. He bought this Lego Ninjago set with some of his birthday money.

January 27th

I think Sam may have the biggest Lego collection in Canberra....so I am trying to make it a bit easier for him to be able to find things. It may take me a loooong time though!

January 26th

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY. We had tattoos, lamingtons and finsihed off with fireworks. Guess which boy doesn't like loud noises ;-)

January 25th

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY SAMMY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEG! Sam had a wonderful day today. We gave him a 3DS, which he really, really wanted. He had his first birthday party since he was 4/ We borrowed a cool water slide that all the kids had fun on, even the bigger ones. Sam loved his Lego cakes. We then celebrated with Meg for her birthday as well. I think they both had a really good day!

January 24th

It was very important to Sam that Grandma came over to have dinner with us on the last night he is 6!

January 23rd

Lucy lost a great big molar today. There was a huge hole and lots of blood. She left a lovely note in her tooth fairy pillow. (I made this and Mum cross-stitched the writing, before she had lost any teeth! and now she only has one or 2 to go)

January 22nd

After a wonderful 8 days away, we packed up and came home. As soon as I had unpacked all the bags and gear I finally downloaded The Sims 3 on the computer. I have been dying to play it ever since I got it!!

January 21st

It was a bit rainy today so we went to Marula markets and then went fishing. Sam and Jackson hadn't really been fishing before and it has been a while since Chris and Kees had been. Everybody had a really good time. If you look closely you can see lots of little holes on the sand. There were thousands and thousands and thousands of these amazing blue crabs! They scuttled away when you got too close and buried themselves in the sand. Fascinating!

January 20th

Mama and Papa came down to the coast today to join us for the last couple of days of our holiday. The kids have really been looking forward to them coming. After the morning at the beach, we had a quiet afternoon and then went down to the big playground and had fish and chips for dinner. The flying fox there is a lot of fun, but the adults sure get their excercise!

January 19th

We bought the boys snorkelling sets today, Lucy already had one. We took them all to Caseys beach, which is quite flat to have a look at what the could see. Unfortunately there was a bit much seaweed and they couldn't see anything. Maybe next time!

January 18th

After the beach this morning we went to see the Chipmunks movie. Chris and I enjoyed it as much as the kids. Lots of hidden jokes.

January 17th

More beach fun today. We have been very lucky with the weather!

January 16th

Had a lovely day, I was spoilt with presents from Chris and the kids and we spent the morning at the beach. Everyone was happy in the sand a
nd the ocean while I relaxed and read my Kindle.

January 15th

.
Sam, Jackson and I went to CJ's birthday party before heading to the coast. The boys had a great time, even though it was cold! Here are Nataly, Cristian, CJ and Gabriel, Jackson and Brianna snuck in the family photo.
